A 3-hour tour, with 5 stops along the way (at a hotel, a cemetery, a convent, a church and the Lope de Vega House Museum) that goes from Puerta del Sol to the Palace Hotel, about 1,000 meters in total. The tour aims to discover the man rather than the genius, telling anecdotes about the life of the authors and their works.
Interesting tour because of the subject matter (a lot of Cervantes and Lope, a little less of Quevedo and Góngora), one of the best routes in Madrid (you see restaurants, streets, curiosities along the roads, etc.), anecdotes about the life of both authors and a very entertaining guide.
On the other hand, it errs a bit on the side of talking about the man, not dealing with historical anecdotes known to scholars and history books, but not to the general public (maybe what he worked on as a young man is all the same to me, but the circumstances in which he wrote or how he lived or who he associated with matters more to me). Recommendations of museums to visit on the subject or books to study in depth would have been appreciated.
